Winter Bedroom

I made a few small updates to our bedroom for more winter-y / Christmas-y look.
I started by changing the bedding to a completely neutral look.

I then swapped out my botanical's in the gold picture frames to this:

I've been busy wrapping gifts and threw them onto the foot of the bed:

...and into the corner of the room.....

I completely changed up the dresser since I stole some items here for other areas of the house.  I put up a $4 goodwill mirror that I painted gold....

....and probably even more random an aged wood pull cart (? it has castor's on the bottom so it seems it was intended to move something) that I found on the side of the road; I had intended it for another project that I abandoned.  I kind of felt it gave a nice weathered look and pulled in some of the color from the pillow that I added to the chaise:
I added some antlers, greenery, and ornaments.....

.......and these candles and hurricanes that I previously used in this tablescape.....

...on the other side of the room.....

I added some green vases (my attempt at Christmas-y green), all thrifted from goodwill for $2 or less.............

...oh and some of our paperwhites grew way out of control and I found them out of the dish and on our kitchen counter this morning.  I decided they have seen their time, and here htey are in a glass hurricane........

I moved these from the kids bathroom as they proved to be very impractical there and I could put more out here......

and some empty, yes empty, picture frames.......
...one last look here....

...and here....

  3. Looks great! I love the neutral bedding. So pretty!

I don't change up my bedding for winter, but I do like to add some garland to our headboard and big mirror. I usually have different themes each year for our overall decor, and this year I'm skewing towards a natural, forest kind of theme.

  4. dawn, it's gorgeous! love these subtle details you have added, and that dressing area is to die for. not too many changes here except for the addition of some mercury glass and scented candles and a lantern with white lights. i'm the laziest christmas decorator you have ever seen!

    bravo to you.
