Pink and Green Spring Tablescape

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Today, I'm joining in on the 6 Day's of Spring link party in hopes of winning a $250 Pottery Barn Gift Card!  I'm linking up at Jennifer Rizzo's blog, and you can check out all of her projects - as well as those of 5 other bloggers - who posted spring projects all week long.

If you read about my update to my entry way for spring here, you know that I've been craving more color and pattern in my home.  More specifically, I'm currently drawn to high contrast black and white with touches of gold and color.  Here is a look at how I styled my entry:
With black, white, and gold as a base, I set out to create a Pink and Green Spring Tablescape.  As with my winter tablescape, which I posted here, I started with layering my linens. Since I still like a neutral base, I started with the same white tablecloth, but this time I added this high contrast black and white tablecloth as a runner:
Shhh....the black and white tablecloth is plastic and I picked it up at Walmart for $1, thinking I might use it for a party.  I didn't, so here it is.

Next, I added these gold chargers, which I found at Goodwill for $1 each right after Christmas.  For the dinnerware, I used our formal dinner plates and these black and white accent plates - another Goodwill $1 / piece find.

Then, I started adding the color.  Nothing says spring like a little green, so I added green water goblets and a few green vases.  Finally, I made pink pom pom flowers, which were so easy!   I would LOVE to use real peonies - and I happen to have peonies in both these pinks in my garden - but as I sit here typing, we are expecting about 10 inches of snow in the next 24 hours.....

I will be back tomorrow with a super easy tutorial on how these are made.  Finally, I added white milk glass and ironstone and a few pieces of silver, all picked up at estate sales or thrift shops, as containers for my "flowers."

While I was at it, I decided to update my china cabinet display:

...but more on that later this week....
Here is a whole room view:

...and a view at into the living room, where I also added a few plants to liven it up for spring:

...one last look at the tablescape:

Have you started adding touches of spring around your home?
