Today I was inspired by all of the beautiful Christmas images from around the web and decided to continue our Christmas decorating in other areas of our house. We have already set up our tree, decorated our living room, and created an advent calendar, so I thought I would turn my focus to our dining room.
I decided to use what I had on hand. I started with a white table cloth and added a second table cloth - which has a nice shimmery sparkle to it but I'm not sure that it comes through in these pictures - that I folded lengthwise to use as a runner.
When we bought our Christmas tree, I grabbed the branches that were cut off the bottom of our tree, as well as the branches from other trees, and brought them home to use outside and around the house. So I threw some extra clippings onto the runner.
I added these Dorothy Thorpe (esque?) low ball glasses, which I blogged about here, thinking they could be used to serve a small appetizer....
Looks like I forgot to add the silverware. I know I went to grab it at one point and must have been sidetracked. So I guess my "guests" would just have to help themselves....
It was pretty simple to pull together, and I'm happy with it! I think we might just have to leave it set up for dinner by candle light tonight!
Thanks for stopping by! If you like what you see, I'd love to hear it or have you follow along with me!
